My teenage daughter says that a tattoo parlor is safer than a mall kiosk for ear piercing. I’m not sure either is a good option. Help!

Mall kiosk or tattoo parlor for ear piercing?

Yes I would agree that a reputable, licensed tattoo parlor is probably safer than a mall kiosk for ear piercing. Ear piercing is also offered at pediatrician’s offices. Be certain to use a nickel-free earring for piercing because allergic contact dermatitis to nickel is common and appears to be increasing due to earlier piercing in children.
