The coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and resulting social distancing has moved many of our daily interactions online, including doctor’s visits. And, while adults may be adapting to video conferencing with ease, some children – especially those with autism – might have difficulty feeling comfortable with video doctor’s visits. To help them, the Children’s National Hospital’s Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders has created a kid’s guide to telehealth visits – an illustrated walkthrough of how their virtual doctor’s appointment will go.
