Robert Freishtat


Meet Robert Freishtat, MD, MPH

Robert J. Freishtat, MD, MPH, is Senior Investigator in the Center for Genetic Medicine of the Children’s National Research Institute. He is also a Professor with Tenure in Pediatrics and Genomics and Precision Medicine at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Dr. Freishtat has three boys who he spends most of his free time chauffering around. He and his wife adopted their youngest son, Luke, from Haiti. “He is an amazing, funny kid who we are proud to have as part of our family now. He learned very quickly how much fun it is to be a little brother and bother his big brothers,” says Dr. Freishtat.
