Olanrewaju Falusi

PEDIATRICIAN

Meet Olanrewaju Falusi, MD

Olanrewaju “Lanre” Falusi, MD, is a pediatrician at Children’s National and Associate Medical Director for Municipal and Regional Affairs at Child Health Advocacy Institute (CHAI). Her clinical, education and research interests focus on how social factors – including poverty, immigrant status and many others – affect the health of children, and how this growing body of research can help us to improve patient care and advocacy on an individual and community level.

In her free time Dr. Falusi likes to bike and walk for exercise and read – although lately she’s also been listening to podcasts. She and her husband love to travel and explore new places. They have a daughter who is almost three and is very in to ballet and swimming.

“I was drawn to pediatrics as a way to impact a whole lifetime and to advocate for families.  Helping kids to grow up healthy – physically and mentally – gives them a chance to become healthy adults. And, of course, kids are so much fun!  Their silly questions are my favorite part of the day.”
