Meet Eleanor Mackey, PhD
Eleanor Mackey, PhD, is a general child psychologist with Children’s National, and a member of the Children’s Obesity Institute. She works with children and teens who struggle with eating and weight concerns, which include problems with being overweight as well as disordered eating and unsafe weight loss behaviors.
Dr. Mackey likes to spend her free time with her family, friends and cats. She has two daughters. Her family loves playing games and her girls are both ice skaters.
“When I went into psychology, I was most interested in working with kids and families because there are so many opportunities for improving the course of their lives. Growing up presents a lot of challenges and helping families navigate this process is a real privilege.”
